Senate session summoned by President

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a Senate session, which will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 3:00 pm. According to a statement issued by the Press Wing of the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, the President has approved the summary for summoning a Senate session on Tuesday.

The President summoned the Senate session under Article 54 (1) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The upper house is expected to take up key legislative matters and other important national agenda items during the upcoming sitting.
