KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 314,379 tonnes of cargo comprising 176,749 tonnes of import cargo and 137,630 tonnes of export cargo during last48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 176,749 tonnes comprised of 144,460 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 150 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate & 32,139 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 137,630 tonnes comprised of 78,984 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 42,755 tonnes of Clinkers & 15,891 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 09 ships namely, Wan Hai 626, Wan Hai 515, Pop, MT Karachi, Hmm Oakland, Zhong Gu Hang Zhou, Cscl Star, Pan Concord & Lowlads Ambition berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 06 ships namely, Marine Ista, Nara, Zhong Gu Nan Ning, Hyundai Brave, Martini & Oocl Nagoya sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, NCC Sama, NCC Reem and Northern Guard are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 68,777 tones comprising 67,568 tones imports cargo and 119 export cargo carried in 24 Containers (17 TEUs Imports & 7 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 8 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a ‘Virgo’ & another ship ‘Spirit of Bertram’ carrying Gas oil and Container expected to take berth at FOTCO and QICT on Tuesday 24th March, 2026.
