KARACHI: Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Digital Media Fahad Haroon called on with Governor Sindh Muhammad Nehal Hashmi at the Governor House on Friday.
The meeting discussed the current state of digital media, effective promotion of government initiatives, and positive use of social media platforms.
Fahad Haroon congratulated Hashmi on assuming the office of Governor of Sindh.
The Governor said that digital media is playing a key role in providing timely and accurate information to the public. Equipping youth with digital skills and promoting the IT sector is the need of the hour.
Fahad Haroon briefed the Governor on the federal government’s digital media initiatives and ongoing projects.
The government’s narrative is being conveyed to the public in an effective, transparent and timely manner.
The meeting also discussed countering fake news and promoting responsible journalism.
Both leaders agreed to highlight public issues through digital media and expedite their resolution.
