KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 130,048 tonnes of cargo comprising 77,944 tonnes of import cargo and 52,104 tonnes of export cargo during last24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 77,944 tonnes comprised of 62,837 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 7,238 tonnes of Canola, 1,740 tonnes ofRock Phosphate, 4,679 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds & 1,450 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 52,104 tonnes comprised of 22,651 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,044 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 3,857 tonnes of Cement, 19,836 tonnes of Clinkers, 162 tonnes of Rice & 4,554 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 05 ships namely, Msc Busan, Ts Hongkong, Sea Hunter, Boonya Naree & Celsius Emmen berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 09 ships namely, P Aliki, Kmtc Colombo, Wan Hai 513, X-Press Phoenix, Leonardo, Oocl Jakarta, Jasmin 2, Gfs Genesis & Marine Ista sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of twelve ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a container ship ‘Spirit of Bertram’ left the port on Wednesday morning.
Cargo volume of 134,771 tonnes, comprising 104,330 tonnes imports cargo and 30,441 export cargo carried in 2,842 Containers (1,306 TEUs Imports & 1,536 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 12 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Horizon-1, AM Ocean Pearl and KM Weipa & another ships ‘Westerly’ with LPG, Coal and Container expected to take berth at SSGC, PQEPT, PIBT and QICT on Wednesday 25th February, 2026.
