The National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an outlook regarding the expected weather conditions during the month of Ramadan.

Overall, pleasant weather is anticipated across the country during Ramadan 2026, the NDMA said, adding that while day temperatures are expected to rise gradually, nights will remain relatively cool.

“During the first ten days (Ashra) of Ramadan, the weather is likely to remain dry in most regions, though light rain is expected in northern and western areas. Nights will remain cold in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and North Balochistan,” it said in a handout.

In the second Ashra, disaster management body said, the weather is expected to become slightly warmer. Scattered rain is anticipated in northern regions, Central Punjab, and the Pothohar region, with chances of windstorms and thunderstorms in some locations, it said.

During the third Ashra, rainfall is expected in various parts of the country, with intermittent spells predicted for northern Pakistan and central Punjab.

By the end of Ramadan, a significant increase in heat is expected in southern Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan.

“The NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Centre is providing timely early warnings to the public and relevant institutions regarding the expected weather situation and potential hazards,” read the press release.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain and hailstorms have been reported across various parts of Karachi on Tuesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

Following the rainfall, the weather in the city turned pleasant. Rain occurred in several localities, including Gulistan-e-Jauhar, North Nazimabad, Federal B Area, University Road, Orangi Town, SITE Area, and Buffer Zone. Meanwhile, Scheme 33 and its surrounding areas also witnessed hailstorms during the rain.
