ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP-P) Central spokesperson Shazia Marri strongly rejected the government’s decision to increase the prices of petroleum products.
Shazia Marri, in a statement on Monday, said that raising the price of petrol by Rs5 per litre and diesel by Rs7.32 per litre just ahead of the holy month of Ramadan was unjust and ill-advised. She remarked that the government had effectively dropped an “inflation bomb” on the public before Ramadan, further intensifying the hardships faced by ordinary citizens.
