LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday collected record revenue of over Rs3 billion in its first public auction of 2026.
LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed oversaw the auction process at the Expo Centre. The members of the LDA Auction Committee monitored the event closely. Attendees included the Additional DG of Housing, Additional DG of Urban Planning, Director of Finance, Director of Auction, Directors of Housing, Director of Sports, Director of LDA Avenue One, Director of Housing Seven, Director of Revenue, and Director of Housing Four, along with other concerned officers.
According to LDA, in the recent public auction, a total of 61 residential and commercial plots, along with a petrol pump site, marquee site, health and education site, public utility site, sports complex, and salon tenancy rights, were auctioned, generating a revenue of Rs3.28 billion.
Residential and commercial plots from Johar Town, Jubilee Town, and the Tajpura Scheme were included in this auction. Additionally, commercial plots in prime locations such as LDA Avenue One and Allama Iqbal Town are available. The auction also features commercial plots in Sabzazar, Mustafa Town, and LDA City.
The auction will offer tenancy rights for various sites, including educational and health facilities, petrol pumps, marquee sites, and public utility locations in both LDA and private schemes. Tenancy rights for commercial building sites in the Finance and Trade Centre, Johar Town, are also being auctioned. Furthermore, marquee plots in Johar Town, Quaid-e-Azam Town, and Gujarpura are included.
Tenancy rights for petrol pump sites in Quaid-e-Azam Town and LDA Avenue One are available for bidding, along with tenancy rights for restaurant sites and salon shops located in the LDA Sports Complex in Sabzazar and Tajpura.
