KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 140,747 tonnes of cargo comprising 88,788 tonnes of import cargo and 51,959 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 88,788 tonnes comprised of 26,974 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 22,749 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 5,413 tonnes of Dap, 1,565 tonnes of Lentils, 7,200 tonnes of Rock Phosphate, 2,663 tonnes of Yellow Peas & 19,524 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 51,959 tonnes comprised of 36,234 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 633 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 14,367 tonnes of Clinkers & 725 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 06 ships namely, Xin Beijing, Mbs Buleleng, Trinco Express, Chem Bacelona, Rdo Endeavour & Unity Adventure berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 07 ships namely, Eleni T, Melbourne Bridge, Cscl Neptune, Zhong Gu Hang Zhou, Uafl Liberty, Stolt Courage & Gfs Giselle sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Chemroad Hawk and Valiant left the port on Tuesday, while four more ships, Zhuo Yue Yuan Yang, Eleni-T, GC Argon and Stena Continent are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 214,764 tonnes, comprising 172,861 tonnes imports cargo and 41,903 export cargo carried in 4,326 Containers (2,068 TEUs Imports & 2,258 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, GFS Gielle, Ionian Star, Milaha Qatar and Kapta Mathios & two more ships, EVA Hansa and Horizon-I carrying Container, Palm oil, LNG, Coal, Chemicals and LPG expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, PGPCL, MW-4, EVTL and SSGC on Tuesday 3rd February, 2026.
