KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 122,966 tonnes of cargo comprising 82,043 tonnes of import cargo and 40,923 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 82,043 tonnes comprised of 13,136 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 24,618 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 6,141 tonnes of Canola & 38,148 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 40,923 tonnes comprised of 12,443 tonnes of Containerized Cargo,422 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo,4,729 tonnes of Cement, 22,529 tonnes of Clinkers & 800 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 02 ships namely, Stolt Lind and Zhong Kun 611 berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 09 ships namely, Clearocean Moritz, Charlotte Schulte, Raon Teresa, Santa Ciara Maersk, Glory 1, GFS Giselle, Ernest Vinberg and Mu Mian song sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, ABK Tiger and Horizon-I are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 126,944 tonnes, comprising 80,871 tonnes imports cargo and 46,073 export cargo carried in 1,878 Containers (351 TEUs Imports & 1,527 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 17 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Manina and Kallone & another ship ‘APL Oregon’ carrying Fertilizer, Coal and Container expected to take berths at FAP, PIBT and QICT on Wednesday 21st January, 2026.
