Activities of Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim

KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 181,250 tonnes of cargo comprising 114,168 tonnes of import cargo and 67,082 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.

The total import cargo of 114,168 tonnes comprised of 38,987 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 27,796 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 8,475 tonnes of Sony Bean Seeds, & 38,910 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

The total export cargo of 67,082 tonnes comprised of 34,556 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 423 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 514 tonnes of Cement, 23,402 tonnes of Chickpeas, 2,537 tonnes of Rice, & 5,650 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

Around, 06 ships namely, Xin Fu Zhou, X-Press Cassioeia, Glpry 1, Portland, Saehan Olivia, & Joll Bianco berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.

Approximately, 05 ships namely, Crysal Voyage, MT Sargodha, Celsius Emmen, Forever Happy, & Gfs Genesis sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.

PORT QASIM

A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, MSC Veracruz and Diamond Island left the port on Tuesday morning, while another containers ship ‘Albert-P’ expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.

Cargo volume of177,875 tonnes, comprising 129,465 tonnes imports cargo and 48,410 export cargo carried in 3,093 Containers (2,033 TEUs Imports & 1,060 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, GFS Genesis and Unity Maria carrying Container and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT and PIBT on Tuesday 30th December, 2025.
