LAHORE: The first test flight has successfully landed at the New General Aviation Aerodrome Lahore (near Muridke), marking a historic milestone for general aviation in Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority on Tuesday, the aerodrome, designed to serve as a dedicated hub for general aviation activities, benefits from a peaceful geographic location and dedicated infrastructure - a major step forward for the sector. The aircraft, registration AP-BBP (a Cessna 172 operated by Air Eagle), arrived from Lahore earlier and later departed for AIIAP Lahore at 1.26 pm.
PAA Director General Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed congratulated all staff and teams involved in making this milestone possible, praising their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to advancing general aviation in Pakistan.
