KARACHI: Chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, has announced the launch of a special campaign titled “Come, Take a Cover” aimed at covering open manholes across the city. He appealed to the owners of VIGO type vehicles to collect one or two manhole covers from Saylani free of charge, keep them in their vehicles, and place them wherever they find an open manhole.
He said that Saylani has been repairing roads and covering open manholes for a long time, but after the recent tragic incident in which young Ibrahim lost his life by falling into an open manhole near NIPA, Saylani has launched this campaign with renewed urgency and a new approach.
