KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori Saturday attended the inauguration ceremony of the 35th National Games as a special guest.
The ceremony began with a splendid march-past by the athletes, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and national spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it was a matter of great pride for the entire province as Karachi was hosting the National Games after a gap of 18 years. The National Games provide an excellent platform for young people to polish their talents and move forward.
The Governor appreciated the determination, spirit, and hard work of the players, saying promotion of sports nurtures positive thinking in society and strengthens healthy trends. He emphasised that sports and culture are an essential part of national identity, and such national-level competitions promote unity and harmony.
