ISLAMABAD: The Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces and Commander Bahrain National Guard, separately called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday
As per details, Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, Lieutenant General Fahad Bin Saud Al-Johani, met the COAS at the GHQ, reaffirming Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s commitment to deepening bilateral defence ties.
According to the ISPR, the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and opportunities to expand defence cooperation. Both sides agreed to further strengthen the longstanding and brotherly relationship between the armed forces of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed satisfaction over the ongoing defence collaboration and underscored the importance of continued cooperation in training, capacity-building initiatives, and intelligence sharing.
Lieutenant General Al-Johani praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Upon his arrival at GHQ, the Saudi commander was presented with a Guard of Honour.
Separately, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin ISA Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander Bahrain National Guard, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed. Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further enhance existing military-to-military ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
