LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the suppressive system during the last 78 years have broken the dreams of the people instead of given them relief. He said that the courts failed to provide justice and institutions also failed to deliver. He said that the masses are deprived of the fundamental rights and facilities and there is no one who could inquire after them. He said that 26th and 27th Constitutional Amendments have further worsened the situation.

This was stated by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing a press conference at Minar-e-Pakistan Ijtima Gah along with Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Ameerul Azeem and Naib Emir JI and Nazim Ijtima-e-Aam Liaqat Baloch. On the occasion Emir JI Lahore Ziauddin Ansari Advocate and Secretary Information JI Shakil Ahmed Turabi were also present.

The JI Emir said that his party could not leave the masses on the mercy of waderas, landlords and mafias, adding that convoys have started reaching Minar-e-Pakistan to participate in the Ijtima-e-Aam. He said that the arrangements for boarding and lodging of hundreds and thousands of people have been completed. He said that the leaders of Islamic movements in large numbers from abroad will also attend the Ijtima. He said that JI’s Ijtima-e-Aam will lit new candles of hope for the county and nation.

Rehman said that currently masses are severely disappointed and worried and they are unable to see any ray of hope from any side, adding that youth is 65 percent of population but they are unable to secure education and employment. He said that the doors of higher education have been closed for the poor, adding that in the class based system the child of the rich is getting education but the child of the poor is out of school. He said that the rulers while distributing few laptops think that they have fulfilled their duty.

He said that the common people have no access to education and technology, adding that the country is ruled by the land mafias, drug mafias, IPPs mafias, sugar and flour mafia contractors and waderas.

He said that the owners of the thousands of acres of land used to commit tax theft, adding that these people did not pay tax but in contrast spend luxurious life on the taxes paid by labourers, farmers and low class employees.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the JI will make alliance with the masses, adding that farmers, labourers, teachers, students and lawyers are allies of JI, adding that we will jointly run the movement of supremacy of Islam in the country. He said that when the system of Almighty Allah will be enforced in the country, the system of tyranny will automatically be abolished.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that he will announce the future course of action at the last day of Ijtima-e-Aam.
