Pakistan booked their place in the final of the Hong Kong Sixes after edging Australia by just one run in a thrilling semi-final encounter on Sunday.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a strong total of 121 for 2, thanks to a blistering half-century by opener Khawaja Nafe, who smashed 50 runs off only 14 balls with a flurry of sixes and fours. His explosive innings set the tone for Pakistan’s dominant start.
In reply, Australia came close to chasing down the target but fell agonisingly short, finishing at 120 runs in their allotted overs.
Pakistan’s disciplined bowling and sharp fielding held firm in the tense final moments to secure a narrow victory and a spot in the tournament final.
