“Where’s the focus, you reckon?”

“Depends on which side of the wheel you are at?”

“Excuse me?”

“What I mean is if you are a member of the cabinet, federal capital, your focus is on the passage of the twenty-seventh amendment, if you are a member of the NQ opposition…”

“Never heard that one before – let me guess the only true Opposition is the party of the Man Who Must Remain Nameless and Faceless, so N is for Nameless and Q is for……oh I have it – N is for not and Q is for quitting so not quitting opposition…”

“You are so not with it.”

“I am too, as I said…”

“And your name doesn’t start with an N – spelt the Urdu way because there are some names that start with an English N but not an Urdu N…”

“Don’t got there. Anyway, NQ Opposition stands for not quite opposition and that is the Pakistan Peoples’ Party.”

“Oh, that’s right – the Chairman did put on X that a cabinet delegation came to visit and sought support for the twenty-seventh amendment.”

“So what do you reckon? They will get it?”

“My question is an isosceles triangle is not possible in politics. And if you insist on being obtuse, then let me explain – two sides are never equal in politics.”

“Though which side is more equal than the other two does change in politics right!”

“Right, and before you put your big fat foot in your mouth let me state that this is also true in international relations – the unipolar world is being replaced with a multipolar world….”

“And need I mention that we are one of the very few countries that have our small feet in two of the three multipolar….”

“Right and again before you put your big fat foot in your mouth, let me state that this was not due to the seismic shifts in international politics based on geographical…”

“Please, may I put my foot in…”

“No, no and no.”
