KARACHI: Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has announced that the first supermoon of the season will be visible on the night of October 7.

According to SUPARCO, the supermoon will appear at 8:47 pm, rising from the east and setting in the west. It is expected to appear 6.6 percent larger and 13 percent brighter than a regular full moon.

The commission added that the planet Saturn will also be visible near the supermoon, positioned to the left of the Moon on October 6 and 7.
