KARACHI: After one of the most severe rain spells in the city, the power supply situation in Karachi and adjoining areas was normalised by K-Electric, a statement issued by the company said on Friday. It added that KE’s teams remained actively engaged across the city to maintain power supply and carry out swift restoration work in impacted areas.
The statement further added that during the monsoon rains, several high-level visits also underscored the importance of collaboration, including those by Member Technical NEPRA Rafiq Ahmed Shaikh and Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Hussain Shah.
KE spokesperson also expressed heartfelt condolences over the unfortunate safety incidents reported during the heavy monsoon spell in Karachi. However, he clarified that none of these incidents were linked to KE’s infrastructure.
KE reiterated its appeal to the public to avoid any kind of contact with power infrastructure, maintain safe distance especially during and after rains.
