FDE announces winter holidays

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced the winter holidays for all the federal educational institutions. According to an official notification, schools and colleges will remain closed with effect from December 30, 2024 to January 8, 2025.

Regular classes in the educational institutions will be resumed from January 9, 2025.

In addition to the holiday schedule, the FDE has instructed Heads of Institutions to utilise this period to formulate concise academic improvement plans. These plans should aim to address specific educational challenges and enhance the overall quality of education in their respective institutions, read the official notification.
