GARHI KHUDA BUX: Fool proof security arrangements were made on the fourth death anniversary of Shaheed Mohttarma Benazir Bhutto here on Tuesday.
More than 6,000 police officials have been deployed in Garhi Khuda Bux where people from across Pakistan came to visit the mazar of Mohttarma Benazir Shaheed and offer Fateha.
In order to monitor the situation, some 45 closed circuit cameras have being installed. The authorities have setup four control rooms to be manned by police officials to convey instant activities to main control room where Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan will be assisted by DIGs Sukkur and Larkana.
Some 150 women police officers and personnel have also been deputed in the town to guide the women coming to Garhui Khuda Bux. Security measures include walk through gates at the entrances of the Mazar.
Special traffic arrangements were also in place on the occasion of anniversary. For the guidance of visitors, traffic signs are already installed throughout Larkana.
A route map has also been prepared and being enforced to ensure smooth flow of traffic. To meet any emergency, arrangements of 122 traffic mobiles, 16 open trucks, 42 motorcycles and 12 tow-away vehicles have been arranged. The authorities mounted snap checking at all entry and exit points of Garhi Khuda Bux, Larkana.
