Chicken prices decline in Lahore

LAHORE: Chicken prices in Lahore and other markets of the province registered a massive cut of Rs78 per kilogram, bringing the retail price to Rs470 per kilogram on Tuesday from Monday’s Rs548 per kilogram.

According to poultry sector experts, chicken meat prices have decreased by Rs227 per kg during the last three weeks.

As per the market report, prices of chicken at the farm gate fell to Rs300 per kg from Rs350 per kg on Monday. Prices of live chicken (wholesale) fell to Rs312 per kg from Rs364 and prices of live chicken (retail) fell to Rs324 per kg from Rs378 per kg.
