ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh, Kamran Tessori on Thursday called on caretaker Federal Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali and shared concerns of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) particularly on energy issues.

He also expressed his sincere appreciation for the federal government’s commitment to launch massive crackdown against electricity theft.

During the meeting Muhammad Ali pledged to address the concerns of KCCI on priority adding that he would visit Karachi at the end of this week and meet business community and KCCI representatives to resolve their issues.

He also shared the federal government’s initiatives and plans for controlling power theft and improving recoveries; and underscored the need to further harness the potential of indigenous resources including renewable energy and Thar coal.

KCCI has expressed serious reservations at the recent increase in tariff and the resulting issues being faced by small traders.
