This was a very good initiative with many pertinent topics discussed. I would suggest that our decision makers need to study Manmohan Singh's reforms in India in 1991, after which India's economy really took off. We need to do something similar. One thing that does come to mind however is that Islamabad is notorious for "all talk and no action". It is our bureaucrats that have to implement government policies, and for whatever reason, this seems to be our Achilles heel. Unfortunately, we are very weak at implementation. Maybe we need urgent bureaucratic and governance reforms as a first step. I don't think we have the luxury of "business as usual" any more, we need to act now, or the country will implode.
