SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were flat in morning trade Tuesday as investors stayed cautious ahead of an upcoming market holiday for the New Year, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 0.13 percent, or 2.77 points, at 2,187.34.
