HYDERABAD: President of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Adeel Siddiqui has appreciated performance of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) as the utility ensured uninterrupted power supply to consumers during Ramazan.
In a statement issued on Sunday, he expressed the hope that Hesco would keep performing with the same spirit in the peak summer season and during upcoming monsoon season. He said that as a business community leader he had often criticised Hesco’s performance but he felt that Hesco’s team had performed better during the holy month and deserved a pat on the back.
He said that last year due to power shutdowns and faults the business activities were badly hit and added that even detection bills were issued to consumers. He said this year Hesco had shown improvement in its recovery and power theft was controlled.
He said consumers got uninterrupted power supply as Hesco was said to have repaired transformers and transmission lines with the result that commercial, residential and industrial consumers did not come up with unnecessary load management complaints. He added that business community got better power supply on an average which was a positive sign for business activities.
