MUZAFFARABAD: Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir accelerated its growth journey and earned a profit of Rs 771 million in 10 months of 2022, while a year ago in October 2021, the bank earned a profit of Rs 398 million.

The spokesman of the bank while releasing the details of the latest financial results on Thursday said that a 94 percent increase in the profit of the bank has been recorded in the last one year.

According to the spokesman, the profit of the bank in the year 2019 was 134 million rupees, which increased to 289 million rupees in 2020, Rs 440 million in 2021 and Rs 771 million in 10 months of 2022.

It is worth mentioning here that under the patronage of AJK Government, especially Minister for Finance, Cooperatives & Inland Revenue and Chairman of Bank Board of Directors Khan Abdul Majid Khan, under the supervision and guidance of President/CEO Khawar Saeed, day and night hard work and teamwork of the staff, with the support of the customers, the targets were achieved.
