KARACHI: Gold prices on Monday rocketed up to historic high levels in the local market, traders said.
After going up huge by Rs2350, gold prices shot up to Rs141650 per tola, which is the highest ever on the local market. Prices of gold per 10 grams also peaked to a record high of 121442, up by Rs2015.
On the world market, prices of the precious metal were quoted for $1862 per ounce.
Silver was traded for Rs1590 per tola, up by Rs20 and Rs1363.16 per 10 grams, up by Rs17.14, traders said.
