ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman has directed the relevant authorities to ensure the timely completion of the pedestrian bridges surrounding Itwar Bazaar, Faisal Avenue and G-7. The work on construction of pedestrian bridges for those who walk in the surrounding of Itwar (Sunday) Bazaar, Faisal Avenue and G-7, has been started.

The pedestrians were facing problems due to Itwar Bazaar crowd. The crowd and pressure of traffic and gridlock have been causing accidents. Women, children, and disabled persons face huge difficulties due to this rush.

A CDA official said the project had been started and the pedestrian bridges would help overcome the problems of the masses. On the other hand, citizens have also been facing difficulties in crossing the Faisal Avenue, so a bridge is also being constructed between Faisal Avenue and G 7.
