(Karachi) A citizen was martyred while three others including two women suffered injuries when Indian Army troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation at the Line of Control (LoC).

According to a statement issued by Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday, Indian soldiers targeted Tari Band & Samahni villages in Rakhchikri & Khanjar Sectors with rockets and mortars. It added that Pakistan Army gave a befitting response to Indian shelling and targeted their posts.

This year, India has committed 2,660 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in 20 shahadats and serious injuries to 203 innocent civilians.

On November 12, the Foreign Office summoned a senior Indian diplomat to register protest over continuous ceasefire violations by India along the Line of Control.

The FO condemned the deplorable targeting of innocent civilians by the Indian occupation forces stating that ceasefire violations are against all established humanitarian norms and professional military conduct.

Indian forces have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars and automatic weapons along the LoC and Working Boundary.
