The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference will be held on November 16 to review the increasing positivity ratio in educational institutions.

On Wednesday, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) recommended early and extended winter vacations for students due to an increasing number of coronavirus cases at educational institutions.

The special meeting at NCOC will be chaired by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood where all provincial education ministers will be attending. The recommendations decided in the meeting would be shared with the provinces for decision-making and enforcement, APP said.

On Saturday, several departments of universities in the federal capital were sealed after cases were reported. Department of MS Agriculture, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Department of Civil Engineering were sealed at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), while at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Department of Management Sciences, Department of Computer Sciences, BS International Relations, BS English, and BBA were sealed.
