LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar while talking to Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri and PTI delegations here on Tuesday said the dream of PDM to overthrow the government would remain just a dream. "Political opponents want to create chaos to halt the country's development and the government will not back down even an inch from its stand against corruption," he said.
The Governor said that elimination of corruption, indiscriminate and transparent accountability is essential for the nation. Pakistan is moving in the right direction while economic indicators are positive and a Naya Pakistan is emerging under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri said there is no threat to the government from the opposition rallies. We are strengthening all the institutions including Parliament and the government, he added.
