KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday said that the targeting of state institutions under any pretext by the opposition parties is creating a constitutional crisis like situation in the country.

Addressing the participants of his party rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Kamal asked the political stakeholders to stop blame game, join hands and begin a grand national dialogue to steer the country out of the existing problems.

"PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz exploited the sentiments of the families of missing persons for her vested political gains at the PDM Quetta rally," Kamal said.

"She chanted slogans like shame shame,

which in real sense added more sufferings and miseries to the already distress families," Kamal added.

He asked Maryam as to what her father Nawaz Sharif did for the recovery of the missing persons when he was PM of the country.

"When we came back to Karachi on March 3, 2016, the families of more than 500 missing persons came to us with hope. I would have used their sentiments for my political gains. I could also hold press conferences along with them, but this act was against my wisdom and sanity. I never took a picture with someone, but sought forgiveness for them from the ruling powers openly as well as secretly."

"Today, thank God, the issue is almost resolved.

Missing persons have been recovered and they are with their families," he said.

The people have no welfare, inflation has broken the backs of the poor, no one cares about real public issues, he stated.

PSP supremo lashed out at the ruling PPP saying it was trying to be the champion of Human rights and democracy, while the fact is that it has 'plundered' over Rs8000 billion of Sindh under the heads of NFC and tax collections. The whole province from Karachi to Kashmore is posing a dismal picture of neglect, betrayal and corruption. I spent only 300 billion in my mayorship tenure. Karachi ranked amongst the 12 fastest growing cities in the world as we built hospitals, parks, educational institution, bridges, flyovers, roads etc. The city was clean during my tenure.

But today, People are dying of dog bites, and contaminated water. Industrial units are shifting from the port city to other countries due to acute shortages of power, dilapidated civic infrastructure, and unfriendly economic policies.

Children between the ages of 2-5 years are being raped and killed, seven million children in Sindh are out of schools, while the rulers are at loggerheads for powers.

He warned the rulers not to undermine the power of masses. A silent revolution would wipe out the ruling elite, if they failed to feel the momentum gaining in streets against their atrocities.

Kamal demand new and correct census for Karachi as it effects everything from national, provincial assembly seats to provision of basic necessities.

The government wants to let down the opposition while the opposition wants to remove the government and come to power on its own.

Kamal asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to act as Premier not a monarch. "Under the constitution, you are bound to sit with the opposition and resolve national issues," he said.

The jubilant PSP workers and supporters including women and children began thronging to the venue with riding cars, pick-ups, motorbikes and other vehicles.

President PSP Anis Kaim Khani on this occasion said that the so-called PDM held a rally here some days back, but failed to highlight the issues of the people of Karachi.

None of the leaders spoke a word on Karachi's problems. It caused disappointment for the people. He vowed that PSP will not let the people disappointed.

Anis warned the ruling PPP that this historic rally has been organised here today, and may take to roads tomorrow. Conspiracies are being hatched against this city.

Senior Vice Chairman Ashfaq Mangi felicitated the people of Karachi saying their overwhelming participation in the rally has proven that Mustafa Kamal has won their case. Without singling out any individual or group, he warned them to stop conspiracies against PSP.

PSP's other leaders including the General Secretary Hassan Sabir, Vice President Dr Arshad Abdullah Vohra, Vice Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Kaim Khani, Ataullah Kurd, Vice Chairman Hafeezuddin, and Bilqees Mukhtar also spokes on the occasion.
