ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has filed a petition in the Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) against the order of G-B Chief Court to Bilawal Bhutto for leaving Gilgit-Baltistan.

The G-B Chief Court on Friday had ordered PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur and other public office holders to leave the region within 72 hours over violating the elections code of conduct. Sherry Rehman said her party had filed a petition in the Supreme Appellate Court against the order to leave.

She said the G-B Supreme Appellate Court had granted the PPP's request for a hearing.

She said, “We hope for justice from the Gilgit-Baltistan court…” Sherry Rehman said.

She said that Bilawal Bhutto is not a federal minister or having public office and he was receiving a warm welcome in Gilgit-Baltistan. PTI led federal government was scared of Bilawal Bhutto's warm welcome in the region, she added.
