Punjab PSMA ready to start crushing season

LAHORE: The Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA-Punjab) has expressed its willingness to cooperate with the provincial government and start crushing season 2020-21 in the national interest. According to a tweet by the Association, it gave assurance to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Mirza Shahzad Akbar that they are ready to start the crushing season in given time.

However, the Association has only challenged the recently-issued ordinance amending the Sugar Factories Control Act 1950 in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
