South Punjab: Industrialization will help create more job opportunities: CM
LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Thursday that industrialization process will help create more job opportunities in South Punjab and no bureaucratic hurdle will ever be allowed to hinder the business activities.
Talking to a delegation of D.G. Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its president Kh Jalal-ud-Din Romi, the CM said that Waste Management Company and PHA have already been set up in D.G. Khan and city roads will be repaired to facilitate the citizens and business community of the area. He added that the investors will be provided various incentives in Muzaffargarh Special Economic Zone.
The meeting decided to establish acrimonies in D.G. Khan, Taunsa, Vohwa and Sakhi Sarwar through Kh. Jalal-ud-Din Romi and other industrialists. The CM disclosed that 50-acre land has been acquired at Sakhi Sarwar Road in D.G. Khan for providing industrial plots to small and medium-scale investors.
Kh. Jalal-ud-Din Romi appreciated the investment-friendly approach of the CM and assured to provide full support for setting up acrimonies. Moreover, chairing a meeting about 'Sehat Insaf Card Program', the CM disclosed that the scope of this program will be expanded gradually. These cards have been provided to more than 5.1 million deserving families in the first phase, he added.
Further, talking to the vice-chairman CM Complaints Cell Nasir Suleman, the CM regretted the opposition is playing with national solidarity to hide its corruption. The opposition parties are following anti-state elements' agenda, which has already been rejected by the people, he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Okara has been removed from his post and additional charge has been entrusted to additional deputy commissioner (Revenue) Saba Asghar Ali of the post. Similarly, AC (City) Depalpur has been removed on the complaints of corruption and poor cleanliness arrangements in Depalpur.
The action has been taken in the wake of Usman Buzdar's surprise visits to Okara and Depalpur where some women buyers complained about non-availability of sugar and ghee.
