(Karachi) The Russian Federation Special Forces’ contingent has arrived in Pakistan for two weeks long joint exercise Druzhba-5, a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Thursday.

The military's media wing stated that the exercise is aimed at sharing both armies experiences in counter terrorism domain. "Sky diving & hostage rescue operations will be highlights of exercise #DRUZHBA," it added.

This will be the fifth joint military drill between Pakistan and Russia under the bilateral training cooperation agreement which will continue for two weeks. In October 2016, troops from both countries held their first-ever joint military exercise in Pakistan.
