PESHAWAR: Salim Saifullah Khan, Honorary Consul General of Turkey for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa express heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of Republic of Turkey over the loss of 58 precious human lives and damage to infrastructure wherein at least 20 buildings in the city of Izmir alone were destroyed due to earthquake and mini tsunami in Turkey and Greece.

In a statement issued here Saturday, Salim Saifullah Khan said that the Government and the people of Pakistan are deeply saddened over this tragedy and sympathize with the people and government of Turkey at this critical moment. He further said that the people of Pakistan are very much worried to hear that more than thousand people in Turkey have been injured and the images on social media showed water is rushing through the streets of one of the towns near Izmir from an apparent sea surge.

Salim Saifullah Khan further said that the whole Pakistani nation is with the government and people of Turkey and the victims of the earthquake and their families and pray for their earliest recovery and restoration and ready to extend any kind of help to the brother country Turkey.

Khan further added that on behalf of the people of the Pakistan, I wish speedy recovery to all those affected by this devastation and stood in “full solidarity” with their brothers in Turkey.
