ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Privatisation Mohammed Mian Soomro chaired a high-powered meeting to discuss matters relating to the Karachi Electric (K-Electric). Federal Minister for Energy Omar Ayub, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, SAPM on Petroleum Nadeem Baber, and Special Assistant to the PM on Power Sector Shahzad Qasim attended the meeting.
The other participants who attended the meeting were the representatives from NTDC, KWSB, NEPRA, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law, and officials of Privatisation Commission. The issues, which were discussed in the meeting, pertained to the issuance of National Security Certificate, payables receivables and other pending issues relevant to K-E.
