KARACHI: Industrialists have demanded that the control of Site Ltd management be handed over to the Site Association so that repair of roads and other development work could be initiated and Site area could be saved from total disaster.

A large number of industrialists of SITE area Karachi staged a peaceful protest outside the office of SITE Limited, against the non-provision of infrastructure facilities in SITE area Karachi, particularly the worst-ever condition of roads.

Prominent industrialists of the area - Siraj Kassim Teli, Zubair Motiwala, Suleman Chawla, Farhan Ashrafi, Tariq Yousuf, Imran Sikandar, Jawed Bilwani, Saleem Parekh, Younus Bashir, Majyd Aziz, Junaid Makda, Zakaria Usman, Asad Nisar, A Rasheed, A Hadi, Iqbal Godil, Anwer Aziz, Qadir Bilwani, Hussain Moosani, Hanif Tawakkal and others were present on this occasion.

Protestors were contacted by Secretary Industries & Commerce Sindh, Dr Naseem-ul-Ghani Sahito and MD Site Ltd Pervaiz Baloch.

Representatives of the industries drew the attention of Dr Naseem towards the worst-ever condition of infrastructure in the oldest industrial area of Karachi, particularly the dilapidated condition of roads network, and demanded immediate action.

Dr Naseem agreed to the demand of the industrialists and promised to come up with a confirmed plan / proposal by coming Monday. On his assurance, the protestors dispersed peacefully.
