'Political negligence'

Prime Minister Imran Khan deserves a lot of praise for rightly diagnosing a battered Karachi. Identifying the nature of myriad Karachi issues is the right approach to dealing with a slew of challenges facing this city. He has therefore rightly reached the conclusion that the situation of Karachi worsened over a period of time due to "political negligence". He has reportedly said that the development of Karachi is on the agenda of the federal government. No doubt his intentions are truly loving.

The Rs1.1 trillion Karachi Transformation Plan announced by him speaks volumes about his resolve. I hope prime minister will have success. I wish him the best of luck.
