ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court hearing multi-billon rupees fake bank accounts case on Tuesday approved former president Asif Ali Zardari's counsel's request to grant him time for arguing over Zardari's application against seizure of his house situated in Karachi's Clifton area.

Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir, while hearing the case, granted time to Zardari's counsel for argument over his client's application against seizure of his house in Clifton, Karachi.

At the start of the hearing, Zardari's counsel Farooq H Naek requested the court to grant him time for arguments over his client's application against seizure of his (Zardari)'s house. The court approved his request and adjourned hearing till September 17.

The Accountability Court on March 2 approved the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)'s request seeking confirmation of seizure of former president Asif Ali Zardari's house situated in Karachi's Clifton area. The court during the hearing asked the anti-graft body to provide a copy of the court's order to the accused former president. The NAB prosecutor told the court that the house was bought in 2014, and the payment was made through joint accounts with "corruption money".
