ISLAMABAD: National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (NEECA) said on Monday that it was conducting energy audits of gas-based Captive Power Plants (CPPs) operating across Pakistan regardless any industry segregation.
"Though CPPs are also operating in the textile sector, energy audits are not limited to textile sector only," said Managing Director NEECA.
He said that energy audit of 1140 CCPs is being conducted by the organization.
The organisation is of the view that the gas tariff for CPPs under general category are as follows; (i) SSGC, Rs 998/ MMBTU and; (ii) SNGPL, Rs 1021 MMBTU.
The gas tariff for CPPs in the five zero sectors (export-oriented) is as follows; (i) SSGC, Rs 768.31/ MMBTU and; (ii) Rs 786/ MMBTU.
