KARACHI: The Met Office has said that rains in Sindh have subsided and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the Sindh during next 10 days. However, it forecast one or two brief rainy spells at a few places during the period.

"Dry weather conditions in Karachi will be supportive for rescue/relief operation during next 10 days," the Met said. But, it forecast, rain-thundershower with isolated heavy falls for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Kasur, Okara, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday.

Heavy falls may generate urban flooding in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore and may trigger landslides in vulnerable areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the period.
