Public Prosecutor: ACE arrests asst director with ‘bribe money’ in Jhang

LAHORE: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Faisalabad region arrested an Assistant Director Public Prosecutor with bribe money of Rs 5000 in Jhang.

ACE Faisalabad Head Imran Raza Abbasi said that accused Azhar Hussain received bribe money to argue for cancellation of post arrest bail of another accused charged with 161/PPC and 5/2/47 PCA.

ACE Jhang Circle Officer Asif Shah along with area Magistrate carried a successful trap raid and arrested the accused red-handed.

Commenting on the instant raid, ACE DG stressed that indiscriminate action against corrupt elements will go on throughout the province. He further said that corruption in any form will be dealt with iron hand.
