Ammar Chowk remodelling project approved

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Planning and Development Department (PPDD) has given formal approval the Ammar Chowk Chaklala remodelling

project to be executed by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

spokesman PPDD, Hafiz Muhammad Irfan told APP that the project would be completed at the cost of Rs675 million.

He said that the construction work on the project would be launched in April as the authority was finalizing all the arrangements in this regard, he added.

After completion of the project, smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow would be ensured at the intersection, he said adding that mainly the traffic coming from Chaklala Scheme-III, Airport Road, Rehmatabad, Tamasmabad, Walayat Homes and other roads would be facilitated through this project.

The project would help resolve traffic mess problems witnessed particularly during peak hours.
