Fire reduces 30 huts to ashes in Gulistan-e-Jahuar

Over 30 huts were reduced to ashes, as fire broke out in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area here on Tuesday. However, no casualty was reported in the incident, police and rescuers said. The incident occurred at the main university road near Mosmiat. The fire brigade and rescue teams rushed to the scene and after two-hours' hectic effort they managed to extinguish the fire which reduced to ashes over 30 huts.
An official at the central fire brigade said that seven fire tenders took part in the rescue operation. He said that short circuit caused the fire.
