72kg of hashish seized

Capital City Police on Thursday foiled a bid of narcotics smuggling and arrested a smuggler with possession of 72 kilograms hashish, police said. On receiving a tipoff, CCPO Imtiaz Altaf formed a raiding squad under the supervision of SSP operation Tahir Ayub, which established check posts on suspected entry points. During checking, Chamkani police signaled a suspicious car (LXG-2703) to stop and recovered 72kg hashish from its secret compartments.
In other raids in Gharbi, Urmer, Mathra and Badabher police arrested proclaimed offenders involved in different heinous nature crimes.
