The Small and Medium Enterprises Develop-ment Authority (Smeda) and Lahore College for Women University inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday to execute a joint programme on entrepreneurship. Smeda CEO Yousuf Naseem Khokhar and Lahore College for Women University's Vice Chancellor Dr Sabiha Mansoor signed on behalf of their respective organisations.
Both organisations shall take concrete steps to exchange technical expertise in developing and executing "Entrepreneurship Programme" to be launched at LCWU. Both the parties would regularly share information regarding their initiatives, programmes and activities along with repository of information on women development.
Smeda would also be facilitating the LCWU student delegations visits to the SME houses on need basis. Both parties would also manage to regularly participate in each other activities for Women Entrepreneurship Development, including LCWU upcoming female job fair.
Yousuf Naseem highlighted the services rendered by Smeda to enhance women entrepreneurship in the country. He specially referred to the Women Business Incubation Center set up by SMEDA at Lahore. He disclosed that the success of WBIC at Lahore had led to open such centers also in other business cities including Karachi and Peshawar where the centers had entered into operational phase.
