Is education not right of the people of Sindh?

Allah has bestowed pen and ink to man, so that he should use it for the service of human beings, however, there are certain users of the pen who, at times, misuse it. Such an example came into light when an article was published in a newspaper.
In that article it was said that the present democratic government of the Pakistan People's Party, built such 23 new colleges in the province which are not needed .It not only shocked to me, but it is also a matter of astonishment for every one who loves Sindh, why such article was published and who are the conspirators behind publishing such anti-Sindh article. Why they wanted to create hurdles in the line of higher education opportunities for the children.
It is a fact that colleges are being established in those areas where they are badly needed. Due to unavailability of colleges, girl students are unable to get higher education and their parents do not allow their children to far-flung areas. Thousands of girls were deprived of education. It is a prime duty of the writer to use his creative skills to point out the problems of society in a positive manner. However, the said writer declared the establishment of 23 new colleges a wrong step. When I visited District Tando Allah Yar and asked the people of the area whether they needed a college or not. In one voice they said 'Yes' and were really angry when they came to know about the said article and announced his social boycott. The media community also expressed his resentment over it.
The question rises whether Pakistan People's Party's present democratic government does not provide opportunities of higher education to the people of Sindh, Sindh will never make progress in education. In 48,914 primary, middle and high schools and higher secondary schools of Sindh 402,993 children are getting education. The total number of primary schools is 44,522 in which 329,197 boys and girls are getting education while there are 2,505 middle schools and 237,003 students are studying in these schools. Secondary and higher secondary schools are 1,887 and 874,016 boys and girls are benefiting from these institutions. There are 260 colleges in Sindh, out of which 131 are in Karachi while 129 are in rest of the province. There are 78 such talukas where there are no colleges and colleges are badly needed over there. Right now almost 346,000 students are getting education in colleges, out of which 250,000 study in intermediate classes while 90,000 children are the students of degree classes. It is a fact those students who go to university, 90 percent of them reach it after getting education in government colleges.
Due to the shortage of colleges in Sindh, 534,016 girls and boys drop out. To solve the problem 460 primary schools have been upgraded to middle schools. 230 middle schools have been upgraded to high schools while 115 high schools have been given the status of higher secondary schools. To spread education of computers in Sindh 230 computer labs have been established. It has been decided principally that all primary schools will be upgraded to middle schools in the new education policy. 9,000 cluster schools will be established out of 47,000 primary schools and due to this policy a monitoring system will come into force effectively. In the tenure of the previous governments so many students, especially girls, were deprived of their basic right of education.
While feeling the need of new colleges the present democratic government got a survey of the province and 78 such talukas were pointed out where there was no college. We decided to establish 23 new colleges and Sindh Assembly approved it. However the work could not be initiated due to certain negative elements. If it started on time the cost would be less. Here I would like to clear that no one has a right to create hurdle in the schemes which were passed by the Sindh Assembly. I invite the said writer to accompany me to those areas where these colleges are being established and convince me whether these colleges are needed or not.
It was a conspiracy against the children of the far-flung areas that they were deprived of education. I ask those so-called writers why they want to keep the children of Sindh away from opportunities of higher education.
